I can’t tell you how happy I am with all the products from Tallow Skin Co. I found this company because my nephew was struggling with extreme eczema. I bought the genesis cream for him. He has never had so much relief from a product before. From the soaps to the deodorant, these products are top quality and luxurious. The dream cream is the newest try and my skin has never felt younger and more hydrated. I am so grateful I found this company and even better it’s local to me!
I've been using and loving this Genesis butter for 4 months now. When I received this new jar I noticed the ingredient list had changed a bit. That usually doesn't bode well in my experience, but I was pleasantly surprised that that was not the case here. The butter works even better now. Melts right into my skin and keeps it baby soft and healthy all through winter. No more itchy, dry, or cracked skin. The bar soaps are awesome too!
As I have aged my skin has gotten thirstier. I live in a dry climate and work in the service industry where I frequently wash my hands. This makes them dry and itchy. And as I have aged, I have become wiser with what I put on my skin and what I consume.
Beef tallow's ability to actually absorb into my skin really caught my attention. Before this purchase, I have tried a couple different tallow products that all felt waxy not oily, making it really hard to spread onto my skin. Interestingly, even though they were all "home-made", they all shipped from the same address in CA.
So when I came across Tallow Skin Co, I gave tallow one last chance. It's based on my home state of CO and it seems like Melissa understands how damaging our dry weather is. It also seems like she too cares about what we put on our skin.
I ordered the Genesis Body Butter and absolutely love it! Get this, it shipped from CO! You are actually supporting a small-business. I use it on my hands and face right now. It spreads on easily because it's actually made with oil and fat that melts with your body heat, as it should. A little bit goes a long way and it absorbs into your skin rather than sitting on top! Finally the search is over!

Relief in a jar! Super happy to have found this company! This butter is super rich and buttery, but absorbs well into the skin. My daughter has eczema and this actually really helps! A little goes a long way, and it has a nice light lavender/herbal smell - I'm assuming from the infusions. It doesn't smell like an essential oil, but more of fresh dried flowers and herbs.
Such a versatile product! Can be worn any time of day, by itself, or you can add essential oils to it! Has become a staple for our skincare routine and passes the test of two teenage girls!
I was so shocked at how well this tallow lotion worked. My skin is shiny and smooth like butter. It has helped in this dry heat in Arizona, especially after swimming.
The Genesis lotion has a very mild scent. It takes a while to absorb, but it is very soothing and softening for my hands and feet. I use it at night and love how my hands feel in the morning!
This butter works very well on my dry, cracked hands. My fingertips were beginning to painfully split now that the weather is getting cold, but this tallow healed it quickly! Works great on my face without causing breakouts too.
It's a great product. I have noticed clearer skin within days of usage. The only caveat is that the smell is funny. But I guess that's only natural.
My son has pretty bad eczema and I've been trying to find anything to help him. We've tried tons of different eczema creams without much luck, and have tried a few different other tallow sellers. This is by far the best price we have found, and organic! It's actually affordable. I noticed results after the very first day. He was much less itchy and then bumps have gone down. As a Florida girl who enjoys running barefoot or in flip-flops on her off days, my feet are perpetually cracked. The sun has also done some damage to my arms and legs as well… I Believe in sunscreen, but I can’t live in the stuff. I've tried quite a few tallow brands now and this is my favorite to use for just about everything. It's packed with healing herbs, is essential oil & fragrance free - but does NOT smell beefy. They use dry-rendered tallow which I love - but the tallow gets a natural sweet smell from the chamomile. It's super light and lovely. I also LOVE that this is organic and LOVE that it comes in an 8oz jar. Honestly this is the very best price I've seen for organic tallow, this size, and these ingredients.
